NdFeB Block Magnets

Table of Contents

Neodymium Rectangular Magnets, Neodymium Square Magnets and Neodymium Cube Magnets could be collectively referred to as Neodymium Block Magnets.

Normally block magnets are magnetized through thickness (direction c), the block magnets’ powder is proportional to the cross-sectional area perpendicular (axb) to the magnetizing direction. Neodymium Magnets exert very high forces and can attract each other through unbelievably large distances making them very popular for a range of applications that include wind generation, electric motors, packaging, scientific experiments, design and display. They also have an immense and unbeatable resistance to being demagnetized, making them ideal for repulsion applications as well as attractive applications. EPI Magnets supply many kinds of dimensions/grades/coatings/ magnetization directions for Neodymium Block Magnets.

Materials: Sintered Neodymium Iron Boron.

Dimensions: Customized. Generally, dimensions are from 1/16’’ L x 1/16’’ W x 1/16’’ H to 4’’L x 4’’W x 4’’H.

ToleranceGenerally, the tolerance is +/– .004″ for all dimensions. Tighter tolerance is also available.

GradesHere’re the NdFeB Magnets Grades we supply.

Type Suffix Meaning Grades Maxinum Working Temperature
N (No suffix) N27, N30, N33, N35, N38, N40, N42, N45, N48, N50, N52, N54 80 deg C/175 deg F
NM M: Medium Grade N30M, N33M, N35M, N38M, N40M, N42M, N45M, N48M, N50M, N52M 100 deg C/212 deg F

NAH AH: Astronomical High Grade N33AH 230 deg C/446 deg F

Tips: SmCo magnets perform better when operation temperature is above 150 ℃ and cost less than UH, EH and AH grades. We suggest you choose SmCo magnets in high temperature.

Coating/PlatingCustomized.

Nickel (Ni-Cu-Ni), Zinc (Zn), Gold (Ni-Cu-Au), Epoxy, Ni-Cu-Epoxy, Plastic, Teflon® (PTFE), Xylan® (PTFE), Everlube-6155®.

Magnetization directions:

To proceed with the magnetization, we will firstly need the specific dimensions of the magnet because block magnets are usuallly magnetized through thickness, which is the smallest dimension. But there are exceptions, sometimes we’re requested whether we are able to supply block magnets magnetized through the length or width.  Sure, we do have some long “bar” magnets, where the magnetization is in the longest dimension. This is still defined as the Thickness in our description.
